Mark Bacon joined the Cape Ann Symphony as principal trumpet in 2000. He has also performed with the Lexington Symphony, the Massachusetts Symphony, the Thayer Symphony, and the Cape Symphony. He has been a frequent soloist performing weddings throughout New England since 1983.
His chamber collaborations include Boston Brass, Bala Brass, BBQ Brass, Chatham Chorale, Neponset Choral Society, Paul Madore Chorale, Sacred Choral Artists and other ensembles.
As a soloist, Mark has appeared with the Cape Ann Symphony, Quincy Symphony, at Gordon College, The University of Massachusetts Lowell, Methuen Memorial Music Hall, Saint Anthony's Shrine in Boston, The AbendMusik Festival and on numerous occasions at the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul in Providence.
A graduate of Walnut Hill School, and an alumnus of The Tanglewood Institute, and Phillips Academy Andover, Mark holds a Bachelors of Music and Philosophy degree (magna cum laude) from The University of Massachusetts, and received his Master of Music degree from Indiana University.
Mark has an active roster of outstanding private students in Massachusetts and his recordings can be found on film, television, and are available on compact disc.

John Evans graduated from the Naval Music School, and has a Master's in Music from Boston University. While there, he played euphonium and tuba with the concert band, and served as marching band drum major. At the same time he also performed with the New England Conservatory Orchestra and wind ensemble. After teaching music for several years in Medford and Brookline, he settled in Peabody, MA, first as band director and then music administrator. Performing venues included the Schubert and Colonial theaters, the Boston Brass Ensemble. The Portland Maine Symphony and the Barnum and Bailey Circus Band in Boston. He was a founding member of the Claflin Hill Symphony and Summer Winds in Milford, MA until his retirement in 2009. As a Dixieland musician, he played at the Father's Moustache and Sweeney's Gay Nineties. In addition to the Cape Ann symphony, he plays with the Cape Ann Jazz Band, the Salem Philharmonic orchestra and his own German band.

Richey Tally has been an active performer since he first took up the bass in junior high school. After graduating high school from the North Carolina School of the Arts, Mr. Tally went on to earn a Bachelors of Music from East Carolina University studying with renowned pedagogue Jack Budrow. Although his concentration was in classical performance, he won a seat in ECU’s award winning Jazz Ensemble A, where he had the opportunity to work and perform with top artists including Carroll V. Dashiell Jr., Bob Mintzer, Jimmy Haslip, and Peter Erskine. In 2005, Mr. Tally earned his Graduate Performance Diploma from the Longy School of Music. While at Longy he collaborated on many new music projects including the premieres of several local composers. Mr. Tally has participated in the Eastern Music Festival, Emerald City Jazz Festival, Texas Music Festival, Nashville New Music Festival, NEMO Music Festival, CMJ Music Marathon, and has performed with various groups ranging from rock bands to jazz ensembles and orchestras in the USA and in Europe. Mr. Tally currently teaches strings in the Cambridge Public Schools and private lessons on bass, guitar, and piano. He also serves as principal bass of the Cape Ann Symphony, and performs as a freelance jazz and classical bassist throughout the Greater Boston area.
