The program brings together three contrasting works from three very different eras, united by the way each conjures an overwhelming sense of vitality, adventure, playful effervescence, and soul. Performed by an ensemble of talented musicians, this ambitious program showcases large-scale string chamber music.

Scott Moore
Artistic Leader
Scott is currently the Cape Ann Symphony’s concertmaster and serves as artistic leader for this concert, for which he planned the program and assembled the musicians. Since moving to New England in fall of 2019, he has also become Artist-in-Residence at the Annisquam Village Church in Gloucester, where his growing portfolio includes solo and group performances across a range of genres and media. He is a founding member of the Lobster Cove String Quartet, established in 2023. When not fully consumed making music, he’s very likely to be chasing one or both of his young children. In the remaining ten minutes of free time per year, he enjoys cooking, nature, photography, writing, things with two wheels, paddling around Cape Ann, and shooting Super 8 film.
